In PlanningForce you can define your resources based on their skills.
This way of working is very convenient because you define the needs of your tasks based on skills rather than people, the application will automatically allocate people with the necessary skills.
You can also refine the selection of the application based on your criteria and which can be transposed into the application.
Resources are fully available by default and it can easily be adapted to reflect specific schedules or availability.
You can set calendars and apply risk coefficient. (illness, absence,...).
Risk coefficients are useful to define the percentages of outages that are difficult to predict. We can not predict absences, but we can rely on the past to imagine them.
The resource management features allow you to reflect up your reality and thereby avoid surprises.
It can be interesting to try different configurations. In PlanningForce you can make simulations and schedule with more or less available resources to see the impact on your projects.
You can also apply different priorities to resources to favor the use of some and identify your lack of resources.
We provide you with up to 7 different views to analyze the scheduling results from the project and resource point of view. One of this view is shown below and is called "Resource allocations".
